After years of owning and operating a franchised pizza restaurant it was time for Stacey and Gus Bordelon to venture out on their own with Gus doing what he does best: cooking and serving Louisiana style comfort food to the community we live in. For over 20 years Gus has donated his time and talents cooking his specialties for numerous parish organizations, schools, fundraisers, and more. If we heard it once, we heard it a 1000 times, “When are you going to put your food in your restaurant?” The time has come! With his wife alongside and the most awesome staff a restaurant could ask for, affectionately named "The Roux Crew", we went from a “One day we’re going to…” to creating our vision for our family owned and operated Louisiana Style Restaurant. Being located on Hwy 41 in Pearl River near the swamps and bayous of the Pearl River the name Roux 41 Bayou Bistreaux was chosen. In developing our menu it was our goal to bring the food and atmosphere of an LSU and Saints tailgating party to every table we serve. And as parents of 5 children we knew there was a need for a place where you could get great food and have family fun all under one roof. With this in mind Fun Zone with 6 Inflatables and rock climbing walls was added to the back of the restaurant. And last but certainly not least, we are a Christian business and have chosen to be closed on Sundays. We believe that Sunday as a day of rest is a gift from God and in this crazy fast paced world we live in, we choose to take that gift for ourselves and our staff! Roux Dat!!!
